Hey all I have an lq4 I want to swap into my obs but I want to get some 243 heads milled to 62cc with I was told maybe a .045 gasket. I want to run a 227/234 btr cam with 614"/.576" 113+2. I will measure when the time comes but do you think I would have issues?

Also the LQ9 Pistons are Flat-tops and the LQ4 Pistions are Dished. LQ9 has a flattop piston and the lq4 piston has a small dish to it. The LQ9 has 10.1 compression and the LQ4 has 9.41:1 compression stock. The LQ4, generally speaking, is a cheaper engine. There is a benefit to owning a LQ4 over the LQ9.

May 19, 2020 · IIRC the stock Lq9 tune was 87 octane friendly (unlick the newer 6.2L tunes that "recommend" 93 from the factory) so if you go with 10:1 compression I would just pull in stock lq9 spark tables. If you go 9.5:1 I would pull in stock Lq4 spark tables.

Here is a customers very mild 2000 Suburban with a 5.3L. Only modifications are an air raid cold air intake kit and a cat back exhaust.
