Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. The unique structure of the fellowship positions our graduates to start their careers with skill sets for success. Fellowship training is based on mastery competency of clinical/ procedural skills, systems based management, education, and research.June 14, 2017: The Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Division is happy to formally announce that Dr. Chitra Dinakar is the new Clinical Chief of Allergy and Asthma in PCCM. Professor Dinakar was recruited to Stanford as part of the Sean N. Parker Center led by Dr. Kari Nadeau. The three-year pulmonary and critical care fellowship program consists of rotations in the medical intensive care unit, pulmonary consultation service, pulmonary function laboratory and sleep laboratory. The first year is devoted to clinical rotations.

A monthly conference, moderated by the SCC fellow and an attending, focused on basic science and pathophysiology, as well as clinical aspects of fundamental critical care topics. The fellow prepares a 10-minute informal discussion on one or two of the most pertinent topics of the session. Pulmonary, Radiology, Pathology, Thoracic Surgery, Rheumatology & Cardiology physicians participate in the conference and provide expert opinion for the care of these patients.
